Battery Watering Systems. What is Millennium SPW?
The Millennium Single Point Watering system is specifically designed for the industrial / commercial battery user. Originally developed for forklift batteries, the Millennium SPW system has evolved to fit the needs of many other applications such as ground support equipment, mining equipment, locomotives, sweepers, scrubbers, etc. The Millennium SPW system works by replacing the batteries existing vent caps with patented valves that are interconnected with tubing, allowing the user to fill all cells of the battery from a single remote location. Each valve independently shuts off water flow to the cell when the proper electrolyte level is reached, allowing the batteries to be filled perfectly every time without even having to look at the batteries.

Why Choose Millennium SPW?

Millennium SPW™ is the most innovative, advanced, versatile, and user friendly system. At a glance, many of the features are evident. Everything from the clampless polypropylene tubing, flame arrestors, flip top cap, and the low profile to the solid shroud. But what's even more impressive is the structure inside the valve. The Millennium SPW™ valve is capable of working independent of water pressure (3-35 psi), providing you to use a variety of water supply options. In addition, the valve includes a built in water barrier to block the propagation of a flame front from entering adjacent cells in the event of accidental gas ignition.

Battery Watering Systems

Our range of Battery Watering Products caters for all markets, from single truck, low-use applications to huge fleets of trucks and heavy-duty applications.

Water Injector System.Water Injector System™
The fastest, most reliable single-point watering system

For almost two decades, the Water Injector System™ has been the world’s fastest, and most reliable way to add water to industrial batteries. It is very simple to use: an operator clicks on a water-hose, opens a valve, and in 15 seconds or less the entire battery is watered - perfectly. The Water Injector System typically fills batteries 8 times faster than other types of single point watering systems! This mean that 8 batteries can be filled in the time that it would take to fill 1 battery with other systems. Even experienced battery users are astonished at the speed of filling.

The system saves money in two ways. First, it cuts labor costs, often paying for itself within its first year of operation. Second, it extends the life of each expensive battery it is installed on due to improved quality of watering.

The system also improves safety and environmental cleanliness. There is no need to peer into cells to inspect levels as with manual filling, and Water Injectors automatically fill each cell to the correct level, so no overfilling and no electrolyte overflow during charge.

The Water Injector System is outstandingly durable. Designed for harsh industrial environments, it will shrug off abuse that would destroy most other systems, and continue to work dependably for the life of the battery.

In the long run, they have the best financial ROI of all available filling systems. This is especially true in heavy-duty applications where breakage of more fragile systems become costly. It is also true in the new and growing watering service market where battery watering is outsourced to specialists.

Water Supplies.Water Supplies
Water supplies designed to work with Philadelphia Scientific's battery watering products

We have developed a full line of factory authorized water supplies to compliment our wide range of battery watering products and to cater to our customers' varied requirements.

Injector Water Supplies: The Water Injector System must be supplied with adequate water pressure in order to achieve our legendary 15 second fill, however, this is not a difficult requirement to meet. Water Injectors require a minimum 25 psi (1.7 Bar) of flowing water at a rate of 8 gallons (30.2 Liters) per minute. We offer a complete line of compatible water supplies to make sure you can provide the correct water pressure wherever you water your batteries.

Stealth System Water Supplies:
The Stealth Watering System operates over a pressure range of 3 psi (0.2 Bar) to 45 psi (3.1 Bar). Because of this it can be supplied from a gravity tank, wall tap or a pressurized mobile water supply.

Bladder Tank Mini.BladderTank Mini - Injector Water Supply
This 10 US gallon (37.8 Liters) unit cleverly uses your building's water pressure to deliver water to your batteries wherever they are. No AC power is required to operate this unit. Simply fill the tank by connecting the input hose up to your building's water supply with the quick connect provided. When the tank is full (as indicated by the gauge on the top of the tank), disconnect the input hose and wheel the unit to the batteries that need to be filled.

The tank has “pressure memory;” water is stored in the tank at the same pressure that it went in (your building’s
water pressure). The output flow rate it set to be appropriate for the Water Injector System. Since this unit is powered by the pressure in your water lines, there are no pumps which makes the unit very cost effective and reliable.

The BladderTank Mini is supplied with 10 feet (3.0 Meters) of 5/8" (1.5 Centimeters) high-output industrial hose. Since this unit requires to electrical power its mobility range is unlimited.

A capacity gauge on the top of the tank indicates how full the tank is. The maximum capacity of 10 US gallons (37.8 Liters) is achieved when the tank is pressurized to 80 psi (5.5 Bar). If you have very low water pressure, or if you wish to use bottled water or some other unpressurized source you may need to use a Booster Pump.

Booster Pump.Booster Pump
The Booster pump is used when the in-plant water pressure is not high enough to completely fill our Bladder Tank products. It cannot be used to fill Water Injector Systems directly since it does not have a high enough flow rate.

A water resistant electrical box encloses a diaphragm demand pump. The pump delivers 1.5 gallons (5.7 Liters) per minute and automatically turns off when the output pressure reaches 80 p.s.i (5.5 Bar). The unit is wall mountable and requires a 110V A/C outlet. (European and international versions are also available).

Flow Checker.Flow Checker
The Flow Checker gauge is one of the most important tools in the service technician's toolbox. It is essential when installing a DirectFill and can be an important aid in trouble shooting Injector Water Supply problems.

The Flow Checker simulates a Water Injector System and shows the water pressure while it is in use. It comes with three caps with precision drilled holes calibrated to simulate the flow required by 12-cell, 18-cell, and 24-cell Water Injector Systems. A pressure gauge displays the dynamic pressure, which is needed to qualify the water supply being tested. The Flow checker attaches instantly to any water supply with a female quick-disconnect fitting.
